Emma Rose Sanders was born in Quitman, Mississippi. Her parents are Mr. Alfred and Evangelist Missionary Willie Bell Hayes. She has been married to her wonderful husband, Superintendent Charles Sanders for nearly 40 years. Together they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
As a life-long member of the Church of God In Christ "Mother Rose" (as called by many), has worked in many areas of the church from the local to the international. She was called to the mission field in 1991, beginning with a mission to the unborn as a Pro-life Activist. Mother Rose is a dedicated worker in her home church, spending hours and hours at the church each week doing whatever needs to be done. She is available to all Auxiliaries and Departments for advice and service. She believes in "excellent service for an excellent God".
Because Mother Rose loves children, her heart is now dedicated to alleviating the suffering of children and orphans in Liberia, Senegal, and Haiti, Gambia, Dominican Republic and Ivory Coast. She is the Founder and Director of RACCHELS Children International, through which she is Reaching African and Caribbean Countries with Health, Education, Love and Service.
Her current tasks include renovating a second home for orphans in Liberia, renovating and reconstructing two schools in Southeastern Liberia, shipping goods, providing medical supplies and services, in all of the above countries, overseeing the education and health care of more than 100 children in Senegal and providing support for the Malawi Jurisdiction.
In addition to serving as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women for Indiana North Central 4th Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, she has also been given the awesome responsibility of serving as the Church of God in Christ's Jurisdictional Supervisor of Liberia with more than 70 churches. God has tremendously blessed the work.
A nurse by profession and a mother by grace, Mother Rose joyfully serves as the First Lady of Freedom Temple Church Of God in Christ in Indianapolis, IN. She is an anointed conference presenter and a humorous speaker that enjoys encouraging women to excel.
On a personal note, the most valuable thing to her, other than her salvation, is privacy. She likes being quiet and alone. She enjoys listening to music without lyrics, the ballet, opera and board games. She likes racing remote control cars. Her hobbies are people watching, reading, sewing, arts and crafts, floral designing, writing poetry, and prose and landscaping.
More than anything else, she loves God.
Her Motto ” Love is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see”
